François Renard, Amway
François Renard has joined Amway as chief marketing officer. Renard joins Amway from automaker Renault Group where he was global chief marketing officer. At Amway, he will focus on brand and digital experience. Renard’s marketing career of over 25 years began at Unilever’s personal care business. He was also CEO of its Kate Somerville brand.
Chris Reid, Plexus
Plexus Worldwide has promoted Chris Reid, previously vice president of compliance and general counsel, to chief legal officer. Reid will now lead legal, regulatory affairs, corporate affairs, quality, and compliance teams. Reid joined Plexus in 2015 and has nearly 40 years of legal experience, including time at FreeLife International and Vemma.
Class actions prompted by lash product spur additional legal headache for cosmetics direct seller
Rodan + Fields’ insurance carrier has filed a complaint against the skincare brand just as the direct seller navigates class actions related to one of its products. Ironshore Specialty Insurance Co., a Liberty Mutual subsidiary, filed the complaint in a California federal court and maintains that it should be exempt from paying Rodan + Fields’ legal defense or any claims arising from the class action cases currently being deliberated in state and federal courts.

Camelle Kent, Thirty-One
Thirty-One Gifts has named Camelle Kent as CEO. Kent assumes the role from Elizabeth Thibaudeau, who joined Thirty-One as acting CEO last July. Thibaudeau will remain a board member. Kent’s career spans over 25 years, and she has grown global brands including Gillette, Timberland, and Avon. Most recently, she was CEO at WellPet.
Dave Nash, 4Life
Dave Nash has been promoted to senior vice president of global markets at 4Life Research. Previously vice president of Greater China, Nash was hired by 4Life in 2018. He has spent considerable time in Asia on behalf of the company and will now continue his work in Asia while broadening his focus to include global sales and operations.

Blake Schroeder, Medical Marijuana
Medical Marijuana Inc., parent company of Kannaway, has appointed Blake Schroeder as CEO and president. Schroeder will replace Dr. Stuart Titus, who is semi-retiring. Schroeder joined the company in 2016 and was formerly CEO of Kannaway. He also has worked for Forevergreen and MonaVie.

A seasoned global business executive, Clint McKinlay is CEO of Ruby Ribbon, an innovative, social commerce-driven women’s intimates company. McKinlay brings deep channel experience in sales, business development, international expansion, and general management to the company. Before joining Ruby Ribbon in January 2020, he served as a strategic advisor to Yves Rocher, and spent more than two years as VP, worldwide sales for JAFRA Cosmetics, expanding into markets across Asia, Europe, and South America. From 2014 to 2017, as VP, field development for Shaklee Corp., he led growth in North America for the billion-dollar wellness company. Previously he spent three years as national director, sales and training for Rodan + Fields, taking the skincare company from its startup phase to annual sales of over $350 million. A natural galvanizer and communicator, Clint stands as an advocate for women in business. He is also a husband and a father to three daughters and two sons.

Mark Schissel, Herbalife
Herbalife Nutrition Ltd. has appointed Mark Schissel as chief operating officer. Schissel will oversee worldwide operations for the company as well as global business services, finance, IT and infrastructure, and cyber and global security. Most recently, he served as executive vice president of worldwide operations.

Ryan Reigle, Regal Ware
Ryan Reigle has been named president and CEO of Regal Ware Inc. He will succeed his father, Jeffrey A. Reigle, who will become chairman of the board. Ryan Reigle began his career with the company in 2007 and moved up to senior vice president in 2019. He was elected to the board in 2018.

Joe Miranda, Herbalife
Joe Miranda has joined Herbalife Nutrition in the newly created role of chief digital officer. Miranda has more than 20 years of experience as a global technology executive in the media, financial, and data analytics industries, developing and executing enterprise digital strategy. He previously served as chief digital officer at Thomson Reuters.
