What is the most important aspect of your culture?
Heather Chastain, President, Shaklee, U.S. and Canada
Dr. Shaklee taught these core values as the foundation of his philosophy and our opportunity: Put service to others ahead of profit and live In Harmony with Nature®. Our Leaders have lived by this code for decades, leading by example. In today’s Shaklee, we reinforce that culture by weaving it into the fabric of our opportunity. Making a “give back” event part of the unforgettable experience of each incentive trip, for example. A higher car bonus for qualifiers who choose a hybrid/electric vehicle. Offering everyone the chance to participate in disaster relief through Shaklee Cares®. True success isn’t about what you earn, but what you do to change people’s lives for the better.
Alexandra Gracik, President and CEO, Sabika
Culture should not simply live in a framed poster on a wall. It must be lived out daily through conscious action and even more importantly conscious interaction. Sabika’s culture is rooted in a general respect for others, an entrepreneurial mindset and an authentic passion for connecting people. In my new role as CEO, it is my responsibility to take the culture I inherited and not only sustain it, but adjust it as needed. Maintaining a healthy culture requires taking the necessary steps to change the things that work against it.
