Shane Jones, Nature’s Sunshine 

Nature’s Sunshine Products Inc. has hired Shane Jones as chief financial officer. Jones has over 25 years of experience in finance, working with well-known companies such as Amazon and 1-800 Contacts. He was recently CFO at FullSpeed Automotive. At Nature’s Sunshine, Jones will work closely with operations, IT and supply chain teams. 

Warren Schlichting, LegalShield

LegalShield has appointed Warren Schlichting as CEO. Schlichting has spent over 20 years leading growth and profitability for numerous companies. He was previously executive vice president and COO of Poly, and before that, president of Sling TV. At LegalShield, Schlichting will work to expand the company’s financial and operational goals.

Ryan Rogers, Mary Kay 

Ryan Rogers, grandson of Mary Kay Ash and son of Richard R. Rogers, will become CEO of Mary Kay Inc., on Jan. 1, 2023. He will succeed current Chairman and CEO David Holl, who will retire but remain chairman. Rogers joined Mary Kay in 2000 and is chief investment officer and a board member.

Michael O. Johnson, Herbalife 

CEO John Agwunobi has departed Herbalife Nutrition, and current board member and previous chief executive Michael O. Johnson has been named chairman and interim CEO. Johnson has more than 40 years of experience leading multinational corporations, including nearly 20 years leading Herbalife. The company expects to name a new CEO in 2023.

Gene Tipps, Plexus Worldwide

Gene Tipps has been appointed CEO at Plexus Worldwide. He most recently served as president of global operations. Before Plexus, Tipps led operations at Yevo and LifeVantage. 4Life founders Tarl Robinson and Alec Clark will now transition to roles on a new Strategic Council, with Robinson continuing as company president until early 2023. 

Dave Fleming, Neora

Neora has appointed Dave Fleming as executive vice president of business development. Fleming joins Neora after over 20 years’ executive experience in direct selling, including leading sales and field development for Norwex, LifeVantage, Shaklee, and Nu Skin as well as in the technology sector. He has spent many years working internationally in China.

Mark R. Bartlett, Young Living 

Young Living has appointed Mark R. Bartlett, Ph.D., to executive vice president of science and development. Bartlett has spent almost 30 years in the supplement industry including with Nu Skin and has an education in organic chemistry, biochemistry, immunology and cell biology. He has examined how plant-derived products can inhibit autoimmune inflammatory disease. 

Jonathan Lanoy, Nature’s Sunshine

Nature’s Sunshine has appointed Jonathan Lanoy, CPA, as interim chief financial officer, following the retirement of Joseph Baty. The company is actively searching for a permanent successor. Lanoy currently serves as corporate controller and vice president of finance and has been in the finance department since 2008. He previously worked at Ernst & Young.

Scott Nixon, USANA

Scott Nixon, CPA, has rejoined USANA’s board of directors after a three-year voluntary assignment for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brazil. Before that, he was an independent director of USANA from 2017- 2019. He had retired in 2015 from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) after 31 years.  

Jim Van Ingen, Tupperware

Tupperware has appointed Jim Van Ingen as executive vice president of supply chain. Van Ingen will bring global operational expertise, turnaround experience, and supply chain leadership to the role. Most recently, he was president of the Automotive Powertrain Components business at Novares Group. Before that, he was president and CEO of Bway Corp.

Henry Bedford, Southwestern 

Board chair Henry Bedford has assumed the role of CEO at Southwestern Family of Companies, following the departure of Dustin Hillis. Hillis had served as CEO since July 2018 and had joined the company in 2006. Bedford has spent more than 45 years with Southwestern, having started as a student sales rep. 

Vincent McMahon, Southwestern

Southwestern Family of Companies has appointed Vincent “Vince” McMahon to general manager of the Southwestern Distribution Center. McMahon has more than 20 years of operational leadership experience, including with CEVA Logistics, Advanced Innovative Technology Corp., and Beck/Arnley Worldparts Inc.

Frank VanderSloot, Melaleuca 

Melaleuca has appointed Frank VanderSloot as executive chairman of its board of directors. VanderSloot has served as CEO since he founded the company in September 1985 and will now focus on its corporate strategy, messaging, new product development and corporate culture. He will also continue to direct and manage marketing and legal.

Jerry Felton, Melaleuca

Melaleuca has promoted Jerry Felton to CEO, succeeding Frank VanderSloot. Felton, who for the past decade has overseen the company’s international operations, will take over daily operations. He started at Melaleuca in 2009 as senior vice president of sales, bringing with him 17 years of experience as an executive at UPS.
