Resisting Fear in the Face of Uncertainty

Tackling the hard issues is the only way forward.

An uncertain future often creates fear. When things appear out of our control, we gravitate to something to hold onto, something that will make us feel better about those things we don’t know and can’t foresee. Fear can also lead us to make poor and uninformed choices, simply because making any choice feels better than doing nothing.

Fear can also stop us from looking out for the common good, and instead turn us inward to focus on what’s good for only us or strive for what satisfies our current need. It’s not easy to balance the effort of running a company with the need to unite on a common front for the collective good in pursuit of a common goal.
